Eco-Action Volunteer

Break away from boredom to explore an alternative way of life in tune with nature and actively help to make that life a reality for yourself and others.

We’re calling on people from across the globe to join our tribe of nature guides, game rangers, research interns, science lovers, bunny huggers and hippies in the quest for sustainable lifeways and eco-balance.

Living and working at Tehilla Eco Village, our home in the Greater Kruger National Park, Mother Nature will take you on a journey like no other. Enthusiasm is the only ticket you need. You’ll be part of a team taking on real-world environmental challenges and creating real-world conservation solutions. On bush walks, game drives, research projects and community outreaches you will discover the Big 5, the Little 5 and even the Spiritual 5, and feel a new passion for people and planet ignited.

Too many volunteer operations are little more than a commercial tourist experience with minimal lasting impact. At Campfire, we learn, grow, have fun and work to accomplish change. Let the beat of nature and the rhythm of Africa lead you to new-found meaning and purpose.

Duration: 2 weeks minimum

Optional Activities & Excursions

There’s always something happening at Campfire and the nearby town of Hoedspruit. We participate in the Rhino Warrior Race to raise funds for anti-poaching, go to local festivals and social sport events, visit conservation projects and often set out on spontaneous day or overnight adventures. Additional costs may apply depending on the nature of the activity. Participation remains optional.
